Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, treatment, and discharge planning for patients across all age groups. Ensures prompt assessments, interventions, and patient education to support positive clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate triage assessments and communicate abnormal findings to the Emergency MD.
• Review and complete patient orders efficiently, ensuring timely interventions.
• Educate patients on medication side effects and discharge instructions.
• Recognize symptoms of cardiac, respiratory, or other critical emergencies and implement appropriate nursing responses.
• Administer medications, manage intravenous therapy, and care for indwelling devices following proper procedures.
• Respond effectively during Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and trauma activation situations, providing life-saving interventions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrate at least two years of recent emergency or acute care nursing experience.
• Maintain valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Possess current TNCC and NIHSS certifications or be willing to obtain within six months of hire.
• Be proficient with electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC.
• Show ability to interpret ECG rhythms and manage critical patient situations.
