Job Summary:
Provides urgent nursing care to Emergency Department patients across all age groups, ensuring timely assessment, treatment, and discharge. Responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced, critical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate triage assessments and promptly notify physicians of any abnormal signs or vital signs.
• Review and complete patient orders efficiently while communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients on medication side effects and include appropriate instructions during discharge.
• Recognize and respond to symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and manage indwelling devices following established protocols.
• Manage emergency situations such as Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma Activations with competency and confidence.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license in the state of practice.
• Possess a minimum of two years recent experience in an acute care or emergency setting.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting ECG rhythms and responding to life-threatening emergencies.
• Be capable of providing care during complex trauma and critical care situations, including TNCC certification within six months of hire.
