Job Summary:
Provide specialized pediatric rapid response nursing care within a hospital setting, focusing on emergent and acute patient needs. Ensure swift, efficient interventions and uphold safety standards for pediatric and oncology patients.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to rapid response calls, assessing and stabilizing pediatric patients in urgent situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute appropriate care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions continuously, documenting changes and interventions in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
• Follow unit policies, guidelines, and dress code requirements, maintaining infection control and safety standards.
• Participate in shift handovers, communicate effectively with team members, and ensure seamless patient care transitions.

Qualifications:

• Hold current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
• Possess at least 2 years of pediatric hospital nursing experience.
• Have pediatric oncology experience (preferred).
• Demonstrate strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Be able to work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Maintain current licensure as a registered nurse.
