Job Summary:
Provides specialized pediatric nursing care in a hospital setting, supporting pediatric and oncology patients. Delivers direct patient care, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, and maintains compliance with clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately to pediatric patients.
• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to therapies, escalating concerns as needed.
• Document patient care activities and clinical observations in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and family members to develop and implement care plans.
• Adhere to unit policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including specific dress code standards.
• Support patient and family education regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and current BLS certification.
• Obtain PALS certification, with oncology preferred (APHON certification desirable).
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of pediatric hospital nursing experience.
• Possess pediatric and oncology clinical experience, with proficiency in pediatric procedures.
• Show detail-oriented and organized approach, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Be flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations.
