Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care within inpatient interventional radiology and other radiology departments as needed. Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures, recovery, and sedation management.

Responsibilities:

• Administer procedural sedation and monitor patient recovery during radiology procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and adherence to safety protocols.
• Document patient status, procedures, and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
• Float to various radiology nursing areas based on operational needs.
• Assess patient condition pre- and post-procedure, responding to any complications promptly.
• Maintain current knowledge of radiology nursing practices, certifications, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of interventional radiology nursing experience.
• Be experienced with the EPIC EMR system.
• Have previous experience with procedural sedation and patient recovery.
• Hold current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Maintain current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
