Job Summary:

Provides advanced imaging services during cardiac and vascular procedures in the interventional radiology and special procedures lab. Operates complex equipment to assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions involving the cardiovascular system.

Responsibilities:

• Operate diagnostic and interventional imaging equipment to produce high-quality contrast-enhanced radiographs and images.
• Assist physicians with specialized procedures, including inserting catheters and guiding devices within the cardiovascular system.
• Position and immobilize patients accurately to ensure precise imaging and procedure success.
• Enter technical parameters and adjust equipment settings to optimize image quality and radiation safety.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes during procedures, alerting physicians as needed.
• Provide patient education regarding procedures and post-procedure care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an ARRT certification with valid state radiologic technician credentials.
• Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Have a minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in cath lab or special procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fluoroscopy and angiographic imaging techniques.
• Show strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocol during complex procedures.
