Job Summary:

Provide clinical support in an outpatient setting by performing routine medical procedures, assisting healthcare providers, and ensuring patient comfort. The role requires proficiency in blood draws, venipuncture, and accurate documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system.

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws, lab specimen collections, and venipuncture with proficiency.
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
• Document patient information accurately in Epic EMR system.
• Monitor fetal heart tones and provide basic patient education.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
• Support clinic operations by preparing treatment rooms and managing supplies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program listed on the DAPIP website.
• Valid BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• Minimum of 2 years outpatient clinic experience.
• Proficient in blood draws, venipuncture, and fetal heart tone monitoring.
• Current California Medical Assistant certification.
• Ability to work daytime shifts (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
