Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care on a Pulmonary Stepdown unit, monitoring patients with complex conditions such as ventilated patients, chest tubes, and trachs. Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and compliance with clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, including cardiac drips and vents.
• Perform procedures such as trach care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient progress accurately using the Cerner EMR system.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid registered nurse license.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in stepdown or med-surg units.
• Demonstrate experience working with trachs and ventilated patients.
• Have experience with Cerner EMR.
• Be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and on-call shifts.
• Show high levels of clinical competence and adaptability.
