Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring patient safety, effective treatment, and smooth throughput in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate patient admissions, assessments, and care plans.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per physician orders and unit protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions continuously, recognizing and responding to changes promptly.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the Cerner system, maintaining compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to prioritize patient care needs and facilitate admissions and discharges.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment following infection control standards.
• Assist with unit float requirements and support other units within the scope of skills as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years recent experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, or Step-Down (PCU) units.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and adaptability in a high-volume setting.
• Experience with Cerner documentation system preferred but not required.
• Charge nurse experience or willingness to consider is advantageous.
• Ability to work every other weekend and assist with holidays; no call requirement.
