Job Details

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring intermediate and step-down monitoring in a medical-surgical environment. Support patient recovery and ensure safety through precise clinical assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, telemetry, and other clinical data to detect early signs of deterioration.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and responses accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and escalate concerns as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Proven experience in IMC, PCU, or step-down units preferred.
• Demonstrate strong assessment skills and familiarity with telemetry equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.
• Must meet all unit-specific competency requirements.
