Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Ensures the safety and well-being of both mother and infant through expert clinical practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions and monitor fetal and maternal status throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on labor progress, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Document clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing with applicable state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in labor and delivery.
• BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring, labor management, and postpartum care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
