Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will provide specialized respiratory care to patients in an acute care hospital setting, ensuring optimal respiratory function and patient safety. This role requires flexibility to float between facilities and adherence to clinical and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory treatments, therapies, and diagnostics according to physician orders and patient needs.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapies, patient progress, and treatment outcomes.
• Comply with all licensing, certification, and safety requirements, including radiation badge protocols.
• Float within scope to support facility staffing needs and ensure continuous patient care.

Qualifications:

• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with an active SC license at start date.
• Possess BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Have current radiation badge or agency-provided badge as required.
• Show proficiency with Epic electronic health record systems.
• Be arrangement-ready for night shift work, with flexibility to float across campuses.
