Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care to pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients within a teaching hospital setting. They are responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, adhering to certification and licensing requirements, and working night shifts on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients.
• Monitor patient condition and adjust treatments accordingly while documenting interventions in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement patient-specific care plans.
• Maintain certification and licensure in accordance with state and facility policies.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including emergency response and hurricane season procedures.
• Float within scope when required to meet facility operational needs, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

• Valid RRT certification from NBRC or SC RCP.
• State licensure: South Carolina RRT license in hand prior to start or proof of application.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric, neonatal, and infant respiratory care experience.
• BLS, PALS, and NRp certifications required.
• Epic electronic health record experience preferred.
• Strong ability to work night shift on a 3x12 schedule, with flexibility for holiday rotation.
