Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring intermediate or step-down level monitoring and treatment. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders.
• Monitor vital signs, ECG rhythms, and patient responses to interventions.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic medical records.
• Educate patients and families about their health status, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to acute changes in patient conditions, escalating care as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio license or compact state license in nursing.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent Stepdown or ICU/IMC experience.
• Have current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications active and unexpired.
• Be able to demonstrate strong ECG rhythm recognition skills during assessment.
• Submit two references from recent managers or supervisors within the last 12 months.
• Be willing to work 3x12-hour rotating day and night shifts and meet holiday requirements.
