Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in IMC/PCU/Stepdown provides expert patient care to critically ill and post-operative patients, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans using age-specific criteria.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret strips, and respond promptly to rhythm changes.
• Manage chest tubes, drains, and assist with procedures such as chest tube removal and pacing wire removal.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-procedure care and health management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of recent critical care or IMC/PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Valid Ohio or Compact RN license active in Nursys.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including rhythm interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with chest tube management and respiratory support devices.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work across units as needed.
