Job Summary:

The AMC - Travel RN - Neuro-Progressive Care - Nights provides expert nursing care for patients with neurological conditions in a stepdown/neuro-progressive environment. This role requires strong ICU or neuro-progressive competencies, accurate assessment skills, and effective documentation in Epic.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver neuro-focused nursing care using evidence-based assessment and intervention practices.
• Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and patient response to treatments and therapies.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and nursing treatments according to protocol.
• Manage telemetry and recognize/report changes requiring urgent escalation.
• Complete competency requirements, including a neuro-progressive exam and skills checklist, upon offer.
• Document care accurately and timely in Epic using established workflows.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license and maintain compliance with state requirements.
• Possess at least 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical - Neuro and/or neuro-progressive/stepdown or ICU settings.
• Demonstrate proven neuro-progressive competency and prior experience caring for neurologic patients.
• Use Epic effectively for documentation and charting; Epic experience is required.
• Successfully complete a neuro-progressive competency exam and skills checklist upon offer.
• Wear Navy Blue scrubs as required by the unit dress code.
