Job Summary:

Provide skilled nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a hospital setting, supporting the healthcare team with patient assessments, medication administration, and clinical procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care assignments independently with RN support in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform vital signs, pain assessments, intake/output monitoring, and implement isolation precautions.
• Administer medications via oral, IM, SQ, NG/G-tube, ear and eye drops, and operate IV pumps for therapy.
• Conduct wound care, Foley catheter insertion, specimen collection, and patient hygiene activities.
• Communicate patient status changes effectively to RNs and physicians.
• Float within skillset to different units as required, adhering to hospital protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New York Single State LPN license; NY is not a compact state.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience within the last 2 years.
• Be BLS certified with EPIC charting experience required.
• Demonstrate competence in telemetry monitoring, 12-lead EKG, and medication administration.
• Ability to work 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM night shift for a 13-week contract.
• Willing to work every other weekend and holiday as needed.
