Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a 48-hour contract in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit. The role involves providing high-acuity patient care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on critical thinking and clinical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, COPD, and GI bleed.
• Interpret cardiac monitors, perform ventilator and trach management, and manage chest tubes and drains.
• Administer IV medications, including cardiac drips, and ensure patient safety and stability.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, including fitting for N95 masks and potential use of PAPR.
• Complete required competency assessments, including EKG/Dysrhythmia exams, prior to start.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years' RN experience in a large hospital, including level 1 or level 2 trauma centers.
• EPIC experience and ventilator management proficiency are required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH Stroke Certification preferred.
• Ability to interpret strips accurately and perform IV starts confidently.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and experience with cardiac monitoring.
• Valid RN license from any state; compact license accepted; temporary licenses processed within 5-10 days.

Strict Rules:

• No hospital or facility names provided.
• All certifications and licensing requirements must be current.
• Shifts are scheduled from 19:00 to 07:30 on a 4x12-hour night schedule.
• Travel vaccine and safety protocols, including N95 fitting, are mandatory.
• RTO requests are considered at submission and can only be up to 14 days; no RTO after offer is made.
