Job Summary:

This ICU RN position involves providing specialized critical care to patients in a 6-bed ICU unit at Horizon Medical Center. The role requires managing high-acuity cases with advanced skills and ensuring quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive critical care to ICU patients, including procedures such as central line and arterial line placements.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions with advanced equipment like Arctic Sun and continuous EEG systems.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech system.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including safety protocols, documentation standards, and schedule requirements.
• Support float policy by providing coverage to ICU overflow units as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid RN license with ICU experience of at least 2 years.
• Hold current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with advanced procedures such as intubation, thoracentesis, and paracentesis preferred.
• Ability to work 36 hours per week on an every-other-weekend schedule.
