Job Summary:
The IMC/PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse provides specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced treatment in a stepdown or progressive care setting. This role involves working on a rotating shift schedule and may include floating to other units to ensure appropriate patient coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement patient care plans specific to IMC/PCU/Stepdown units.
• Monitor vital signs, interpret ECG rhythms, and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records and comply with all documentation standards.
• Maintain certifications and licenses, including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, to meet compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio license or a valid Compact State License in Hand.
• Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit prior to travel.
• Must have recent Stepdown or progressive care experience; travel experience acceptable.
• Pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores.
• Possess up-to-date certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
