Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units at Mission Hospital, focusing on post-surgical, cardiac, and vascular cases. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal recovery through expert clinical practice and compassionate patient interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs for cardiac and vascular surgery patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Manage complex procedures such as epidural infusions, chest tube care, and IV therapies.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and escalating clinical situations.
• Document patient information accurately in the Cerner EMR system.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry monitoring and post-surgical patient care.
• Prior experience in cardiac and vascular surgery settings preferred.
• Maintain active nursing license in North Carolina or appropriate state.
