Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a psychiatric setting, focusing on stabilization and safety. Ensures patient well-being through assessment, treatment, and support within a fast-paced mental health environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to ensure safety and efficacy.
• Conduct regular safety checks, room inspections, and vital sign assessments.
• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and provide direct observation of care.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, including 15-minute rounding and 1:1 supervision when required.
• Support nursing staff by performing phlebotomy, blood glucose checks, and other routine procedures.
• Participate in patient de-escalation and utilize specified restraint protocols when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 1 year of psychiatric experience.
• Certified in BLS, PCT, and de-escalation training.
• Demonstrate experience with adult psychiatric diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse.
• Capable of working flexible shifts, including days, evenings, and nights.
• Comfortable with first-time traveler assignments and floating across units as needed.
• Ability to handle high-stress situations and maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
