Job Summary:
Provides patient care and support to cardiac and stroke patients in a telemetry unit. Assists with ADLs, vital signs, blood sugar checks, and monitors patient conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient care duties, including vital signs, blood sugar checks, and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Maintain accurate monitoring and documentation of telemetry and patient status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including charge nurses and nursing aides, to ensure quality patient care.
• Follow unit protocols for patient safety, including blood sugar management and reporting vital sign changes.
• Assist with patient transfers and support activities to optimize patient comfort and recovery.

Qualifications:

• Valid PCT certification via NHA and BLS certification required.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac/stroke patient care.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and patient data.
• Flexibility in shift scheduling, including weekends and holidays, is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
