Job Summary:
Provide direct patient care for individuals recovering from critical conditions in a Post-Critical Care Unit. Deliver comprehensive nursing interventions, monitor vital signs, and interpret telemetry data to support patient stability and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and document patient vitals, provide AM/PM care, and perform routine restocking and errands.
• Conduct EKGs, bladder scans, monitor outputs, and manage blood glucose levels.
• Operate and interpret telemetry monitoring systems, communicating significant changes to physicians promptly.
• Assist with patient positioning, hygiene, and comfort, ensuring adherence to care plans.
• Support unit operations by coordinating with PCTs and other healthcare team members.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Current BLS certification; PCT certification via NHA preferred.
• Experience in a post-ICU, step-down, or telemetry unit highly desirable.
• Ability to read telemetry, interpret vital signs, and communicate effectively with physicians.
• Demonstrated competency in electrocardiogram and patient assessment skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and floating assignments as needed.
