Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care to surgical patients in acute and post-acute settings. The ideal candidate will assess, implement, and evaluate patient care plans while providing exceptional bedside care and patient education.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications, change dressings, and manage IVs and catheters according to protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals, interpret measurements, and report adverse reactions promptly.
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and post-operative care requirements.
• Document patient information, medical charts, and health records accurately.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning and post-surgical needs.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital within the past year.
• Hold a valid New York State RN License and primary source verification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in physical assessment, medication administration, wound care, and telemetry monitoring.
• Be certified in AHA BLS; ACLS certification is preferred for Queens location.
• Preferably experienced with EPIC EMR systems.
