Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled RN to join the Medical Surgical unit specializing in stroke stepdown care. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical conditions, ensuring quality outcomes and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Utilize Epic EMR to record patient information and clinical updates.
• Manage complex medical equipment, including IV pumps and feeding tubes.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license with verification of all current licenses.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent MS experience, including stroke stepdown.
• Document travel experience and current BLS, NIHSS, and NIH certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR and specialized equipment.
• Provide valid driver’s licenses matching demographics.
• Be willing to float as needed and work flexible hours.
