Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit, focusing on post-surgical and acute care needs. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and recovery through skilled clinical interventions and effective communication.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and health management.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY RN license active and unrestricted.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Current BLS certification from AHA.
• Experience with Epic EMR system preferred.
• Valid driver's license with address matching demographics and travel experience documented.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
