Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit. Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and implement treatments according to established protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.
• Adhere to safety standards and hospital policies, including infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active MO RN license.
• Possess BLS certification.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in procedures such as IV insertion, wound care, and urinary catheterization.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, with flexibility for floating policies.
• Competent in using Welch Allen/Dynamap VS machines, bladder scanners, and wound vacs.
