Job Summary:
Provide high-quality nursing care to surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and recovery through effective clinical practices and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and monitors patients’ progress according to physician orders.
• Perform bedside assessments and document findings accurately in the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and family members on post-op care, recovery expectations, and medication management.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, emergencies, and changing conditions.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including safety protocols, infection control, and documentation standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with active BLS certification.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of recent Med Surg, Ortho, or Neuro nursing experience.
• Possess advanced skills in ortho procedures, trauma, and post-operative care.
• Proven ability to work in a trauma and stroke center environment.
• Ability to float to related MedSurg units as needed.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
