Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes through skilled clinical practices.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions, document findings, and report significant changes to healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, procedures, and health management strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Meditech system.
• Uphold hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state of Missouri.
• Have at least 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Possess BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with traction, fixators, and cooling equipment.
• Ability to perform post-op care for knee, hip, shoulder replacements, and trauma patients.
• Exhibit strong communication, critical thinking, and bedside skills.
