Job Summary:
The OR CST will provide skilled support in the operating room across a variety of surgical specialties, ensuring efficient and safe procedures. This role requires flexibility to handle a broad scope of cases within a busy, trauma-level facility.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and assist during surgeries by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory and institutional standards.
• Support surgeons during complex procedures, including neuro, ENT, robotics, and transplant cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical records and ensure proper equipment sterilization.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and anesthesia teams to facilitate seamless surgical workflows.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend shifts as scheduled, including up to four call shifts per four-week period.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of surgical tech experience, with highly preferred neuro, ENT, or robotics cases.
• Hold NBSTSA certification and BLS certification.
• Provide a valid radiation badge, or obtain one through the agency prior to assignment.
• Demonstrate excellent sterile technique, clinical competence, and adaptability across multiple surgical disciplines.
• Have a minimum of one-year experience working in a Level I trauma center or similar high-acuity environment.
• Be eligible to obtain and hold a South Carolina RN license or surgical technologist credential.
