Job Summary:
The surgical OR CST will provide specialized sterile technique support in an acute care hospital setting. This role involves assisting with perioperative procedures, ensuring sterile protocols, and supporting patient care during surgical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams by passing instruments, sponges, and supplies efficiently.
• Maintain strict sterile techniques to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
• Monitor and document patient status and surgical progress throughout procedures.
• Support post-operative care by managing instrumentation and assisting with patient transfers.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of surgical experience as an OR CST.
• Hold current BLS and NBSTSA certification.
• Have a Radiation badge and provide documentation from the agency.
• Demonstrate proficiency in sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation.
• Be able to work a 4x10-hour schedule with on-call responsibilities, including weekends.
• Maintain South Carolina RN license or pending application, with proof of licensure process.
