Job Summary:
Provide specialized surgical assistance as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in a busy Level I Trauma Center. Support a wide variety of complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with appropriate sterile equipment and supplies for scheduled surgeries.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields.
• Manage surgical supplies, ensuring inventory accuracy and readiness for upcoming cases.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation badges and trauma level requirements, to maintain compliance.
• Demonstrate flexibility to float within scope across units and assist in various surgical cases as needed.
• Document all procedural activities accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
• Possess at least 2 years of direct surgical experience, with preferred backgrounds in neuro, ENT, robotics, or transplant surgeries.
• Be BLS certified and have a valid radiation badge as per facility requirements.
• Have current SC RN license or proof of application with the ability to obtain it promptly.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
