Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring their safety, comfort, and recovery through vigilant monitoring and treatment administration. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver essential patient care during shift rotations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
• Monitor patient vital signs, ECG rhythms, and overall condition, recognizing abnormal patterns promptly.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adapt patient care plans.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant certifications and hospital protocols, including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio or compact state RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent experience in a Stepdown or IMC/PCU setting, preferably within one location.
• Possess current, active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores.
• Be willing to work 12-hour rotating Day or Night shifts, including holidays.
• Provide a manager or supervisor reference from the past 12 months.
