Job Summary:

The MRI Tech is responsible for performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to support diagnostic needs. Under general supervision, they operate MRI equipment to capture detailed images for physician interpretation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols on diverse patient populations.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and comfort during procedures.
• Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment to produce clear, diagnostic-quality images.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation badge requirements and implant considerations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures within the electronic charting system.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of recent MRI technologist experience.
• Hold current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and a valid state license if applicable.
• Maintain up-to-date BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in general MRI exams, including specialty procedures such as breast and cardiac MRIs.
• Be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekdays and potentially weekends.
• Have a valid radiation badge as required.
