Job Description
Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI imaging procedures in compliance with established protocols. This role involves working in a dynamic outpatient setting, ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety, and floating between locations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of MRI examinations including general, implant, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac imaging.
- Operate Siemens MRI equipment and adapt to other equipment such as Sectra and Epic systems.
- Ensure proper patient positioning, safety protocols, and comfort throughout imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and charting using Epic and other software.
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to deliver precise imaging results.
- Float between multiple locations, including mobile MRI assignments, with occasional coverage at North Charleston site.
Qualifications:
- Hold at least 2+ years of recent MRI technologist experience.
- Possess ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, with a valid state license preferred.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating Siemens MRI systems and understanding of various specialized MRI procedures.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Must have a radiation badge; agency provided badges required.
