Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services through sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment within a Level I Trauma Center, ensuring patient safety by maintaining sterile instrument packs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical instruments following protocol.
• Maintain accurate documentation of processing activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Float within the scope of practice to assist multiple departments and facilities as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding equipment sterilization and handling procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide sterile instruments for various procedures.
• Participate in orientation and training to stay updated on best practices and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience.
• Hold a valid national certification such as CBSPD and/or HSPA.
• Demonstrate experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases.
• Be capable of working in a Level 1 trauma environment.
• Hold necessary licensure or certification as required by state regulations.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
