Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to provide essential sterilization and decontamination services within a Level I Trauma Center. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple hospital departments, and ensuring patient safety through proper instrument processing.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments according to established protocols.
• Decontaminate surgical tools and equipment to maintain infection control standards.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to facilitate timely instrument turnaround for surgeries.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles and sterilization logs.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety procedures, including compliance with trauma center regulations.
• Float within scope to support sister facilities as needed, including CSC, Main, or West Campus locations.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of recent experience in sterile processing or surgical tech settings.
• Possess valid CBSPD and/or HSAP certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in sterilization, decontamination, and case assembly, specifically for neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases.
• Show familiarity with Level 1 Trauma Hospital protocols and infection control standards.
• Be capable of floating among multiple facilities, supporting various case types, and working evenings (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM).
