Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for adult patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and promote recovery through skilled clinical practice.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications and IV infusions following physician orders.
• Conduct neuro and spinal checks, including neuro assessments and handling of specialized procedures.
• Operate and manage patient equipment such as IV pumps, PCA pumps, chest tubes, and traction devices.
• Document patient care, observations, and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least 2 years of recent ICU, stepdown, or PCU experience.
• Must hold active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate expertise in neuro, trauma, and spinal care procedures.
• Able to work both day and night shifts, including every other weekend.
• Strong teamwork and patient-focused approach.
