Job Summary:


Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a busy hospital. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring optimal outcomes for neuro and trauma patients.



Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to neuro and trauma patients in the PCU, following established protocols.
  
• Monitor patient conditions, including neurological assessments, spinal checks, and vital signs.
  
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as chest tube management and feeding tube placement.
  
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and unit guidelines.
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Current RN license in North Carolina or a compact state.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of recent neuro and trauma care experience in a hospital setting.
  
• Valid ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
  
• Strong assessment skills, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude.
  
• Ability to perform procedures such as chest tube management, PCA pump administration, and neurological assessments.
