Job Summary:
The Travel RN - Nurse Educator specializes in providing clinical education and support to medical-surgical staff in a stepdown unit. This role involves delivering targeted training, validating competencies, and promoting best practices to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive clinical education content to nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
• Support staff education for permanent, traveling, and contract personnel through hands-on coaching and real-time rounding.
• Validate staff competencies and understanding through assessments and documentation.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, and re-education based on audit findings or practice observations.
• Collaborate with educators and unit leaders to identify barriers and facilitate continuous improvement.
• Support flexible scheduling including days, nights, and weekends to accommodate unit needs.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2+ years of acute or critical care nursing experience.
• Demonstrate strong communication, coaching, and instructional skills.
• Have prior experience in clinical teaching, competency validation, or nurse residency programs.
• Be familiar with education tracking tools, LMS platforms, or competency checklists; training will be provided if needed.
• Hold applicable nursing licensure and certification as required.
