Job Summary:

The Surgical Process Tech supports efficient surgical operations by preparing, cleaning, and transporting within the perioperative environment. The role ensures rooms and equipment are ready for patient care while following safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Transport patients and materials safely within the surgical setting.
• Clean, sanitize, and turn over rooms according to established protocols.
• Assist with room readiness by preparing space and supporting perioperative workflow.
• Maintain patient and staff safety by adhering to lift and handling procedures.
• Support unit operations through timely, customer-focused service to patients and teams.
• Participate in required assessments and orientation activities to maintain readiness for work.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active BLS certification with nothing pending.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Provide 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Demonstrate ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
• Complete and pass perioperative readiness assessments (e.g., ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate) within allowed attempts.
• Maintain eligibility for required compliance processes, including background screening review.
