Job Summary:

Physical Therapist (PT) provides evidence-based rehabilitation services to patients in acute care settings, supporting recovery through mobility, strengthening, and functional training. This role emphasizes safe patient handling, timely documentation, and collaboration with the care team to meet individual therapy goals.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient functional status and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve strength, balance, gait, and mobility
• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety strategies, and post-therapy expectations
• Document clinical notes and progress in the approved electronic medical record systems
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff to support discharge planning
• Follow infection control, fall prevention, and patient safety protocols at all times

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Physical Therapist license (pending licenses accepted at time of submission)
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Demonstrate proficiency delivering acute care physical therapy services
• Proficiently use electronic charting platforms (e.g., Cerner, McKesson)
• Meet strict tobacco and nicotine compliance requirements, including nicotine/cotinine drug screening
