Job Summary:

Registered Nurse specializing in IMC/PCU/Stepdown care delivers high-quality clinical services for patients requiring intermediate monitoring and escalation-level support. The role partners with a multidisciplinary team to assess, monitor, and intervene promptly to ensure safe, evidence-based outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and vital signs to identify changes requiring immediate action.
• Monitor telemetry, respiratory status, and hemodynamic indicators in accordance with unit protocols.
• Administer medications and therapies safely, verifying orders and patient identifiers.
• Perform nursing interventions including wound care, mobility support, and patient education as indicated.
• Document clinical findings, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Coordinate care with physicians, charge nurses, and allied health professionals to support continuity.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Demonstrate clinical experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown settings or equivalent acuity care.
• Maintain current BLS certification; possess ACLS or be prepared to obtain per facility requirements.
• Exhibit strong critical-thinking skills to prioritize care in rapidly changing situations.
• Show proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate charting standards.
• Demonstrate safe medication administration and infection prevention practices.
