Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (IMC/PCU/Stepdown) provides skilled nursing care to patients requiring intermediate or stepdown-level monitoring. The role focuses on patient assessment, medication administration, and coordination of care to support safe, timely treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients regularly and monitor vital signs, telemetry, and symptom changes.
• Administer medications and therapies according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Manage nursing care plans by updating goals, documenting outcomes, and reporting variances.
• Provide patient and family education focused on diagnoses, procedures, and discharge readiness.
• Maintain patient safety by following infection prevention, fall prevention, and care escalation standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate diagnostic testing and care transitions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and meet state-specific requirements for practice.
• Demonstrate experience delivering IMC/PCU/Stepdown nursing care or equivalent telemetry-focused care.
• Possess strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize based on patient acuity.
• Administer medications safely with strong knowledge of nursing pharmacology and documentation.
• Maintain current certifications in BLS (and ACLS as required by role expectations).
• Exhibit proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation and clinical communication.
