Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Stepdown units, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate and efficient healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs to detect changes in condition.
• Use telemetry equipment to continuously assess patient cardiac status.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
• Float to other units as needed, maintaining flexibility and support across departments.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of progressive care or stepdown experience.
• Demonstrate competency in telemetry monitoring and cardiology procedures.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive attitude and compassionate nature.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to adapt to floating to different units as required.
