Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit delivers comprehensive patient care by applying nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations. They function both as a team leader and team member, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs regularly and provide skilled nursing care according to physician-approved care plans and evidence-based standards.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, educate patients, respond to call lights, assist with transfers, and respond to alarms as needed.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and suggest updates in collaboration with healthcare team members to enhance patient care.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations, guidelines, and hospital policies related to patient care and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with recent Neuro PCU background.
• Valid Michigan/MI State Nursing License verified via LARA or Nursys.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Travel work experience highly preferred.
• Ability to work within a 50-mile radius for local candidates.
