Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room setting. Assist with various surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a circulating nurse and resource for sterile field management during surgeries.
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies prior to procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team with a variety of orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgeries.
• Monitor patient’s condition throughout the procedure, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Manage on-call duties and provide support outside regular shift hours as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Alaska RN license.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least 2 years of OR nursing experience, with expertise in orthopedic, total joint, neuro, or robotic surgeries.
• Experience as a circulator and scrub nurse is preferred.
• CNOR certification is a plus.
