Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to assess, develop, and implement treatment plans that enhance patients' daily functioning and independence. The role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to provide personalized therapy services in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observation and standardized assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve functional skills and mobility.
• Recommend and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment to facilitate independence.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies for daily living and safety.
• Maintain precise documentation of patient progress in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
• Be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in New Mexico.
• Possess at least 2 years of acute care experience, particularly in higher-acuity units such as ICU, trauma, or neuro.
• Maintain current BLS/CPR certification.
• Demonstrate strong documentation skills and proficiency with EMR systems.
