Job Summary:

Seeks a skilled Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. The therapist collaborates with healthcare teams to enhance clients' independence and quality of life through customized treatment strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning using observation and standardized tools.
• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans to improve daily living and mobility skills.
• Recommend and instruct patients on the use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and activity modifications.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient progress in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
• Successfully complete supervised fieldwork (Level I & II) and pass the NBCOT exam to obtain OTR status.
• Current NM OT license with application in process.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Possess at least 2 years of acute care experience, preferred for high-acuity units.
• Demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
